Yes, I can no longer edit the description with code. All my archives have it as they continuously grow and change.

I have a few new archives that are finished and I can't update the description. An example would be (https://archive.org/details/redump.pce.revival). It will not take my meta template after completing.

depends when you tried. https://archive.org/details/redump.pce.revival is deriving and you cannot edit metadata using /editxml/ while the derive task is running

I always edit in derive for every archive. But either way, it won't let me update the description. It throws the error listed above (edit description html) whether it's in derive or not running any task. Yesterday, I had no issues what so ever.

Thanks, I have tried updating a few archives today and received that error no matter what state the archive is in.

i just logged in as you and added "test link" to the end of the description at https://archive.org/details/redump.3DO.revival

So, I was able to replicate that but when I tried to paste the template that 3DO meta is based on over the code currently in description I got the error again. Attached a screenshot. This is very strange.

I found a solution. I don't know what the issue is with the templates I've been using. Thanks for your help. I was able to update https://archive.org/details/redump.pce.revival by editing the 3DO description code. Might be because I used a url shortner with is.gd as a hyperlink?
